About Us
Our farm is located in the Booyong/Fernleigh locality between Byron Bay and Ballina.
We have 11,000 macadamia trees on 30 hectares.
The farm was established in 1989 and we are now embarking on a tree removal programme to increase tree row spacing from 8 metres to 12 metres.
This programme will take about 10 years to complete and will ultimately reduce tree numbers to about 5,000 trees.
The farm produces an average crop of about 120 metric tonnes each season (40 metric tonnes of kernel) most of which is contract cracked into kernel to be sold by Byron Gold.
We are a husband and wife team and we employ additional help as required.
The Byron Gold products are grown on our farm “Tyumba”.
